Full List of Other Items used during Install: You can Substitute these items for items you already have on hand, but actual items are highly recommended) Back To Top
Tetra Gun Action Blaster - Gun Degreaser - Synthetic Safe - This Gun Degreaser does not contain lubricants so it is perfect for prepping a pistol for a Gun Wrap. Use this degreaser to clean your pistol and remove all dirt and oil from it's exterior. Before installing the Gun Wrap, I highly recommend that you also do a very quick wipe down using 91% isopropyl alcohol which will remove any remaining contaminants. Your local gun store may also carry other Gun Degreasers but just make sure that they do not contain any lubricants. Click Here to purchase online now.
91% Isopropyl Alcohol - You can use this alone or in combination with a Gun Degreaser to clean your pistol prior to Gun Wrap Installation. Local Wal-Mart carries this or Click Here to purchase now.
Microfiber Lint-Free Towels - Used to clean and wipe the isopropyl alcohol from firearm without leaving lint particles which causes bubbles under the Gun Wrap. Your Local Wal-Mart will most likely have this. Or, Click Here to purchase Microfiber Type. Or, Click Here to purchase disposable paper type.
Small Bench Vise - Used to hold firearm in place during Gun Wrap installation. Bench Vises can be found at most local hardware stores such as Harbor Freight, Ace Hardware, etc. NOTE: The vise we use in our installation is a mini-vise that opens just wide enough to hold my Walther 9MM PPQ firearm. Click Here to purchase now. NOTE: Your pistol may require a larger bench vise.
Soft Jaws for Vise - Cut 2 rectangle pieces (Soft Jaws) from this rubber sheet, making sure that the pieces properly cover the metal jaws of your bench vise. This rubber sheet is soft enough to prevent marring of your firearm but it is also firm enough to firmly hold your firearm in place. Click Here to purchase now. NOTE: Some vises come with 'Soft Jaw Covers' but most of the time they are very hard plastic and do not fit properly.
Double-Sided Tape for Soft Jaws - Use this tape to hold the Rubber Sheet Soft Jaws to the metal jaws of your bench vise. Local Wal-Mart carries this tape or Click Here to purchase now.
Rubber Tipped Hand-Tools: These tools have a Soft Rubber Tip which is required to 'Push' the Gun Wrap deep into the crevices of the Firearm during installation. The only place we were able to find these for sale was on Amazon. If you cannot find a substitute at home, you can purchase them at Amazon by Clicking Here.
Exacto type Craft Knife with Extra Blades - Used for all cuts during Gun Wrap installation. Local Wal-Mart carries this or Click Here to buy on Amazon.
Heat Gun or Hair Dryer- Used to heat/reheat the Gun Wrap during installation. Local Wal-Mart carries these or Click Here to buy on Amazon. |
Plastic Ruler - This is just a typical small plastic ruler that we use to cut straight lines during the Gun Wrap installation. This can be substituted with other items that have a hard, straight edge. Click Here to purchase now. |
